AZIENDA USL DELLA ROMAGNA

The Local Health Authority of Romagna was established with Regional Law no. 22 of 2013/11/21, born from the merging of the four pre-existing Local Health Unit Companies of Romagna (Rimini, Cesena, Forlì and Ravenna). The Local Health Authority of Romagna has its legal office in Ravenna, Via de Gasperi, 8, and it is an organisational entity to which both public legal personality and entrepreneurial autonomy is formally acknowledged by effect of the provisions of art. 3, paragraph 1-bis of Legislative Decree 502/1992 and subsequent amendments. The Local Health Authority of Romagna include n. 73 municipalities, 8 Social Health Districts and 7 principal hospitals. The Local Health Authority of Romagna is responsible for the provision of primary, secondary, and tertiary care to the 1,2 million residents of Romagna, included in the Essential Levels of Assistance (LEA) through owr health structures. In particular, the levels of care (Livelli Essenziali di Assistenza) to which residents are entitled through the Local health Authority include the following:

• Basic health care
• Pharmaceutical assistance
• Outpatient specialist assistance
• Residential and semi-residential assistance
• Assistance of continuity of care
