Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) is one of Europe’s largest interdisciplinary research centres and a founding member of the Helmholtz Association. Its research focuses on information, energy and bioeconomy, supported by world-class scientific infrastructures. Through the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), FZJ provides leading expertise and infrastructure in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, simulation and data sciences, including the JUPITER exascale supercomputer.
Role within AIRIS
FZJ leads AIRIS Work Package 4 on computing and data infrastructure. Through the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), FZJ contributes expertise in HPC, AI/ML, data management and scalable deployment. Its activities include mapping compute and data requirements, supporting large-scale AI training and inference, establishing deployment and MLOps workflows, enabling federated and distributed processing, coordinating access to HPC/EuroHPC resources, and supporting the integration, optimization and deployment of the AIRIS platform on advanced computing infrastructures.
